Summer Update - 9th August 2026 - Reworked Game Sessions, Visible Consequences and a New Look

TL;DR

This Summer Update brings together the patches we have been rolling out since the start of July, with most of that work now landed. Game sessions have been reorganized around clearer chapters, World News can be revisited, and story changes are visible where they happen. Continuity and turn recovery are more dependable, and the interface across aiga_ has been redesigned to work better at different screen sizes and align with our brand.

NEW

Game sessions, reworked

Game sessions now follow the flow of a chapter. Context, consequences, story, media, and choices have their own place, making each turn easier to follow.

  • Chapters move through World News, scene context, changes, story, media, then choices. Location, time, and environmental conditions stay visible.

  • Post-turn cards group changes by your hero, affected characters, and factions, with milestones shown separately.

  • Your hero now leads the nearby cast rail, with metrics, traits, inventory, milestones, location, and story progress in one preview.

  • Chat replies can stream in with a live typing cursor.

A clearer record of every turn

Completed chapters now keep a better record. World News stays with the chapter it belongs to, and redesigned change receipts sit beside the action that caused them.

  • Earlier bulletins stay tucked away until opened and remain available as the story develops.

  • Character, faction, and location references can open the relevant Game Book entry.

  • Receipts cover committed changes to stats, resources, items, traits, relationships, milestones, and memories.

  • Memory receipts show who remembers the moment and whether it is new, updated, or replaced. Hover, focus, or tap to highlight the fact and, when available, its earlier state.

Easier to come back and explore

In solo adventures, Adventure Pulse helps you pick up your story, while the dashboard makes played worlds and new discoveries easier to tell apart.

  • Adventure Pulse recaps the current situation, active pressure, objectives, and recent journey beats.

  • Trending, Popular, and Explore views give you more ways to find a world.

  • Play counts, richer cards, and current-scene details add context before you start or resume.

Sharing worlds with better previews

Publishing now has a simpler path from art style to a complete public image set. Public pages also show more of the setting and hero before play begins.

  • Free accounts receive image sets for three worlds, limited to one per day. Further sets use credits.

  • Active subscribers receive one free public image set each day. Extra styles, images, and regenerations use credits.

  • The publisher tracks required images, resumes incomplete sets, and can publish automatically once the set is complete.

  • Shared-world previews include readable hero metric gauges, world context, location artwork, and dedicated sections for characters, factions, locations, and objectives.

IMPROVED

Continuity you can trust

This update tightens how the game records what happened. If a deal went through, its items and payment should agree. If an action was only proposed, it should not change a stat.

  • World-specific stats and resources behave more as intended, with stronger checks against contradictory values, overspending, and impossible jumps.

  • Actions only discussed, proposed, or never carried out are less likely to alter the game state.

  • Trades, payments, pickups, crafting, and transformations preserve their terms, with linked items and payments settling together.

  • Memories, traits, milestones, and relationship moments follow committed events more closely, without forcing abrupt relationship changes.

  • Travel confirmations such as "follow them" or "take me there" are picked up more often. Committed movement also wins over stale location details.

  • Rewinds and discarded branches are less likely to affect the active timeline. The game also separates aftermath from new world events to reduce repetition.

A refreshed aiga_

We revisited the UI across aiga_. Screens are easier to scan, and layouts hold up better at different sizes.

  • The same visual language now runs through the homepage, dashboard, game sessions, Game Book, world cards, and creation and sharing flows.

  • World and game cards put useful information first, keep artwork steadier while loading, and adapt better across screen sizes.

  • World creation uses visual narrative-tone choices, easier art-style selection, and a cleaner review step.

  • New worlds keep their original creation prompt in World Details, where it can be viewed and copied.

  • Skill checks have polished 3D dice, easier-to-read results, haptic feedback on supported devices, and a reduced-motion view. Edge cases around missing and maximum rolls also resolve correctly.

FIXED

We tightened places where requests could be interrupted, actions could overlap, or image work could fail and leave a session stuck.

  • Interrupted chat requests can recover completed replies more safely, reducing duplicate sends and missing responses.

  • New turn protection blocks overlapping actions while the current story update is being applied.

  • Hardened session setup and background recovery, reducing cases where interrupted initialization or stale follow-up work could leave a game in an incomplete state.

  • After a turn settles, receipts and the related character, inventory, and session state are less likely to fall out of sync.

  • Starting a game checks that its world is ready and gives specific feedback for failed or incomplete generation. If hero art is delayed, the opening turn can continue while it catches up.

  • Failed world and scene images retry more safely, with better credit recovery when generation fails.

  • Fixed cached game and world artwork that could appear black or blank after returning to a page.

  • Reduced layout movement and fixed responsive issues across sessions, cards, carousels, and the homepage.

Referral Program is live

TL;DR

Share your aiga_ referral link. When a new account signs up through it, you earn credits when they spend credits or subscribe to a paid plan.

Your link is available from Account > Referral Program

How it works

  1. Open Account > Referral Program

  2. Set your aiga_ handle if needed

  3. Copy your referral link

  4. Share it with friends, players, creators, or communities

If your handle is already set up, links you copy from any Shared World page also work as referral links automatically.

When someone creates a new account through your link, that referral is tracked automatically.

What you earn

5% of referred credit spend

When a referred player spends credits, you earn 5% back as credits.

Example: if they spend 1,000 credits, you earn 50 credits.

Subscription bonuses

When a referred player starts or renews a paid plan, you also earn:

Plan

Bonus

Explorer

500 credits

Bronze

750 credits

Silver

1,500 credits

Gold

3,000 credits

Credits are added directly to your aiga_ balance.

Track your referrals

The Referral Program page shows your link, referral count, referred credit spend, and total credits earned.

Rules

  • Only new signups count

  • Existing accounts cannot be reassigned

  • One referral per IP address is allowed for each referral link

  • Mid-cycle plan upgrades do not qualify for subscription bonuses

  • Subscription bonuses apply to paid plan creation and normal renewal payments

Patch Notes - 13th June 2026 - Explorer, Account Deletion and UI Polish

TL;DR

Explorer is live. It is a new lower-cost subscription for players who mainly want text play: worlds, games, turns, and chat included, with credits reserved for images, video, voice, and other media extras.

We also increased the monthly media credits on Bronze, Silver, and Gold, added permanent account deletion, raised free daily turns to 3 per day, refreshed pricing/paywall flows, and fixed a batch of account, world-card, image, and public-world reliability issues.

NEW

Explorer Subscription

Explorer is a new paid plan for players who want to keep playing text-first stories without worrying about daily free-turn limits.

Explorer includes subscriber text play: world creation, game starts, story turns, and chat. It does not include monthly media credits, so images, video, voice, and other generated media still use credits.

Explorer is priced at $8.99/month.

The Plans, Made Clear

The active public subscription lineup is now simpler:

Plan

Monthly media credits

Price

Free

3 daily text-only turns

$0

Explorer

$8.99/mo

Bronze

3,000

$11.99/mo

Silver

14,000

$23.99/mo

Gold

50,000

$59.99/mo

Bronze, Silver, and Gold now include more monthly credits than before:

Plan

Before

Now

Bronze

3,000

Silver

14,000

Gold

50,000

Credits still have the same job: generated media. Text play belongs to the subscription.

Account Deletion

You can now permanently delete your aiga_ account from account settings.

Deletion runs as a queued job after confirmation. It removes private worlds, games, event history, invites, generated media, stored files, integrations, API keys, account settings, and login access.

Shared public worlds are handled separately. Before deletion completes, public worlds are transferred to @aiga so existing public links can keep working without exposing your old personal account or org as the owner.

Active subscriptions are cancelled during deletion, and required billing records are minimized where they need to be retained.

Steps on deleting your account can be found here.

IMPROVED

Free Turns and Paywalls

Free users now get 3 daily text-only turns instead of 2.

The daily-turn bonus modal has been redesigned with clearer first-grant and daily-refresh states. When free turns run out, the paywall now explains when turns reset and points text-first players toward Explorer.

Media-credit paywalls are also clearer now: credits are for images, video, voice, and media-heavy extras, while Explorer is suggested for ongoing text play.

Pricing Page

The pricing page has been updated around the new plan structure.

It now explains that every paid plan includes text play, and separates that from the media-credit allowance each tier receives. This should make it easier to understand whether you need Explorer, a media-credit plan, or one-time credit packs.

Account and UI

A lot of modal surfaces have been cleaned up and made more consistent.

Invite members, profile image uploads, organization setup, friend groups, player management, image generation, TTS settings, voting settings, pause/resume flows, and other account/game modals now share more consistent layout, inputs, spacing, validation, and button behavior.

Account settings and bottom navigation have also been simplified so billing, daily turns, credits, and account actions are easier to scan.

FIXED

  • Fixed world like buttons losing liked state across some carousel and listing views.

  • Fixed image generation forcing every output into the default square size; scene banners can now request the correct wider output size.

  • Fixed several hard-coded or inconsistent UI strings by moving them through the localization system.
