Playing for Free

You can use aiga_ without a subscription. The free tier gives you 2 daily turns with text-only events, no credit card required. Daily turns reset every day at midnight UTC.

Free users also get unlimited access to creating worlds, starting games, and using chat, just like subscribers.

Why Subscribe?

Subscribing unlocks several benefits over the free tier:

  • Unlimited text-only play -- Subscribers are not limited to 2 daily turns. All text-only events, world creation, game starts, and chat messages cost zero credits.

  • Monthly credits -- Every subscription includes a monthly credit allowance you can use toward illustrated events (AI-generated images), video clips, and other premium features.

  • Savings vs Pay As You Go -- Subscribers save between 5% and 20% compared to buying credits individually, depending on the plan.

  • Team seats -- Higher-tier plans include additional team seats, letting you collaborate with others under a shared organisation with shared credits.

  • Higher community voting limits -- If you run public community games, paid plans increase how many votes are counted per turn.

  • Unlimited memory -- All plans (including free) feature unlimited memory, meaning your games remember all world actions and maintain accuracy across many conversations and events.

Bronze is suited for predominantly text-only adventurers. Your 800 credits stretch to roughly 8 images or 2 video clips per month.

Silver provides a richer experience with a generous image allowance. 8,000 credits translates to roughly 80 images or 20 video clips, and you get 2 team seats for collaborative play.

Gold is designed for those who play many illustrated games with generous video usage. 30,000 credits gives you roughly 300 images or 75 video clips, with 4 team seats.

Platinum is ideal for brands, game sponsors, or anyone running large communities. 135,000 credits covers roughly 1,350 images or 338 video clips, with 16 team seats.

What Do Credits Pay For?

Credits are consumed when you use premium features such as:

  • Illustrated events (AI-generated images accompanying your story)

  • Video clips

  • Certain premium narrative options

Text-only events, world creation, game starts, and chat are always free for subscribers, regardless of plan.

Can I Buy Extra Credits?

Yes. You can purchase additional credit packs at any time as a one-off purchase, with or without a subscription. Packs range from 1,000 credits ($1.20) up to 1,000,000 credits ($1,200). These are one-time purchases with no commitment.

Changing Your Plan

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the Pricing page.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount based on the remaining time in your current billing cycle.

  • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Note that if your current team exceeds the seat limit of the lower plan, the downgrade may be held pending until the seat count is resolved.

Community Voting Limits

For public community games, everyone can vote on each turn, but the number of votes that are counted depends on the game creator's subscription plan. For example, a Free user's community game counts the first 3 votes per turn, while a Platinum user's game counts up to 250.
