How to Delete a World
Permanently delete a private world you never shared, together with its games.
Last updated About 1 hour ago
You can delete a private world you no longer need. Deleting it also deletes every game played in it, so check the list in the confirmation window before you go ahead.
Before you start
Only private worlds that were never shared. Once a world has been shared, other players may have games, likes and leaderboard scores in it, so it can’t be deleted. You can still update or stop sharing it: see Updating and Managing a Shared World.
Only a team admin can delete a world. On a personal account, that’s you.
Wait for it to finish generating. A world that is still being created can’t be deleted yet.
Delete a world
Open Worlds and find the world.
Click the ⋮ button on its card and choose Delete world.
The Delete {world}? window checks the world and lists what goes with it, for example “2 games are linked to this world and will also be deleted.” On a team, it also tells you how many of those games belong to other members.
Click Delete world to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
Bigger worlds can take a moment. If you see Deletion is continuing in the background, you can close the window. The card shows Deletion in progress until it’s done, and View deletion status in the ⋮ menu reopens it.
This cannot be undone. The world, its pictures and every linked game are removed for good. If you might want it later, leave it private instead: nobody else can see it.
If something goes wrong
No Delete world option on the card? The world has been shared at some point or you aren’t a team admin. If you need a shared world removed, write to support@aiga.io.
Looking to remove a single game instead? See How to Delete a Game.
